God's Favorite Teacher is: Experience

God doesn’t teach us through lecture as much as in the lab of life experience. He loves to teach us through divinely directed encounters and real life dilemmas.

As a conservative who meets the Holy Spirit, I get excited about the idea of hearing God’s voice for lots of reasons. One of them is that I’m excited to learn theology and life lessons from God through this dialogue. What I find instead, is that God prefers to teach His children through the gift of experience.

Will God lead you to good books, teachers, mentors and even speak clear words of revelation to you? Yes, He will. But the things you really learn, that really take hold, that really transform your life, are the lessons learned from experience.
